Buttface began with a question: “What are you doing?”

I was talking to someone I was in a relationship with while he was showering. I watched him mix his facial skincare products together and scrub his butt. When I asked why, he said, “Well, they don’t make it for the butt.”

That moment sparked everything. I realized there was a huge gap in the skincare industry—and no one was taking butt care seriously. Acne, irritation, ingrowns, hyperpigmentation, loss of firmness—real concerns that people across all genders were quietly dealing with and often too embarrassed to talk about.

So I built the brand I wished existed: inclusive, clinical, and unapologetically focused on the hardest-working skin on your body. No editing out blemishes. No idealized bodies selling miracle cures. Just real skincare made with next-generation ingredients and thoughtful design.

I’ve been a skincare obsessive for two decades, and when it came time to formulate Buttface, I knew I had to go to the source: Asia—where the future of skincare is happening. In 2021, I partnered with a biotech lab in Taiwan. Over the next three years, we worked with their team of chemists and dermatologists to develop The Protocol—a three-step routine of first-of-its-kind products specifically designed for the skin on your butt, using advanced technologies like peptides, fermented actives, and innovative delivery systems.

Buttface might sound like a joke. It’s not. We’re here to change the conversation around body care, ditch the shame, and help you feel confident in every part of your skin.
